Kim Kardashian has revealed she is the brains behind her family's huge empire.
While her momager Kris Jenner usually gets the credit for masterminding her family's success, Kim insists she's actually the one calling the shots.
The mother-of-two discussed her business acumen in a new interview with Editorialist magazine and shared a sneak peek of the accompanying swimsuit shoot on kimkardashianwest.com.
Kim explained: 'It's so funny, because I'll hear stories like, "Kris Jenner is the puppet master, having all of her kids do this and that," and I'm like, "If they only knew." I'm the one that will be like, "Kylie, do this. Kendall, you should do this.'"
She also spoke about why she was inspired to launch her own website and app.
'I definitely see the shift from magazine to digital, and that's exactly what I envision.
'I did want my own avenue to tell my story, to show my fashion pics, to offer my beauty tips, my secrets. I was doing so many interviews with so many different magazines, and I would find that it wouldn't be written right or maybe the product was off or I didn't feel it was truly representing me.'
The brief excerpt from her interview also included laudatory praise from Olivier Rousteing, Creative Director of Balmain: 'She is a really strong woman; she shares her vision, and I think people want to follow her because [they] feel like she's sharing something with you.'
In the accompany sneak peek of her swimsuit shoot, Kim frolics in the sea dressed in a form-fitting design.
