Iheanacho Misses Out, As Aguero Grabs Player Of The Month Award

Manchester City’s foward, Sergio Aguero has won the Etihad’s player of the month for January ahead of Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Argentine who scored seven goals in all competition, polled 50 percent of the vote to beat Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Bacary Sagna to the second and third place respectively, goal.com reports.

In the month under review, Aguero bagged seven goals in all competitions. He also got an assist for David Silva.

Iheanacho had four goals and three assists in January. His treble against Aston Villa stood out in that month but he was unable to outshine the Argentine forward.

The Super Eagles whiz is expected to feature for Manuel Pellegrini’s men when they host Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday’s English Premier League encounter.
