Kendall Jenner Dresses Up As Feminist Icon Rosie The Riveter To Urge Young Women To Vote

Kendall Jenner may be keeping mum when it comes to her views on feminism, but the supermodel has no problem dressing up as feminist icon Rosie the Riveter to encourage people to vote.

The 20-year-old teamed up with Rock the Vote and the Independent Journal Review for the new ad campaign, which aims to inspire women in particular to participate in the upcoming presidential election by casting their votes.
In the campaign image and corresponding video, the raven-haired beauty can be seen wearing the icon's famous denim shirt with a red bandanna in her hair as she flexes her lithe bicep.

Although the character of Rosie the Riveter was created to recruit women to work in factories during World War II, she has also commonly used as a symbol for feminism and female economic power.
Interestingly, Kendall refused to address whether or not she considers herself a feminist last year during an interview with the Sunday Times in May 2015.
'I don’t know much about it, so I can’t really speak on it,' she responded when asked if she considered herself a feminist. 'I get what you’re saying, but I’m not going to say much because I’d like to be more educated.'
Last September, Kendall gave a one-minute history lesson on how women earned the right to vote in the US in a video spot for Rock the Vote.
