Tony Emms, from Cresswell, Northumberland, explained in an emotional Facebook status how he previously hadn't given Charlotte Sperry enough credit for looking after their son.
Tony wrote in the post that has been liked 28,000 times that although he used to think that Charlotte had a 'chilled day' at home, he now realises she worked her 'ass off all day'.
Tony explained in the post along with a picture of Charlotte and their toddler, he 'sometimes doesn't give this woman the credit she is due.'
