Manuel Pellegrini marched out of his post-match television interview on Sunday as the pressure began to take its toll following a 1-0 defeat in the Manchester derby.
Marcus Rashford's first-half strike left Manchester City clinging to fourth place in the table, one point ahead of Manchester United and West Ham in the race for Champions League places.
But Pellegrini denied that City's season has been derailed by the move to replace him with Pep Guardiola this summer.
When asked on TV about City's recent slump, he stormed off, saying: 'I'm talking about the game and nothing more.'
