Google Front Page: 2 Basic Actions For Your Blog Posts To Rank Higher In Search Engines

I read a friend post over the weekend where he claimed that getting a Google front page ranking is now as difficult as the proverbial camel passing through the needle eye.

I will say my friend is correct but all you need to rank on Google front page is to learn how to get your blog to google front page. Welcome to Search Engine Optimization basics.
Search Engine Optimization is the required steps, action and tactics required to optimize your website or blog so that it will be visible to search engine and improve your site ranking toward the top. I wrote about some basic settings required to make your blog post visible to search engine and I will advise you to read it now if you are yet to do so.

If you have taken time to read that post, GOOD!!! Because I will only build on what is in that post now and I will only explain two major factors that affects the ranking of a page on search engines. Search engine optimization is not limited to this two but what good it is for me to dump 15 things on your laps and end up getting you confused.
Let us see how to rank on google search front page.
Google get millions of search queries every day but most of the search traffic goes the sites that appear on google search front page during organic search. So the target of every blogger is to appear on the Google search front page.
WHICH KEYWORD CAN GOOGLE RANK YOU
Wait! We all want to get ranked for something and that thing is called Keywords. You need to understand that every visitor to search engines will ask a question which the search engine tries to reply with the most relevant results.
If a user search for ”MTN Free Midnight Call”, google will try to pick out the most relevant results that features the keywords which are MTN+FREE+MIDNIGHT+CALL. So if you wish to rank on google for this search query:
You must have a post which title should contain some or all of the keywords in the search query. The keyword should be close to the starting point of the post title as much as possible.
Have the keyword within the first hundred words of the post.
Have the keywords appear sparingly within your general post in such a way that it might appear in a search query.

BUILD BACKLINKS
Understanding the concept of backlinks is very important. Backlinks are like bridges that connect two sites together through hyperlinks. This bridge might be broken and that is when the backlink is said to has a no-follow attribute but when the link returns the credibility of the host site, then is a do-follow backlink.
In short, when googlebot “spider” is crawling a site and meet a link to another website, it check the attribute of the link and if it’s do-follow, then it will crawl the link but for no-follow, it just read it as text and pass.
The concept of backlinks is important to google because Google needs a mechanism to rate new websites and therefore using the concept of backlinks to achieve that. Google simply look at the quality of the site that connects to yours and decide if your site rating needs a positive or negative movement.
The quality and quantity of you backlinks are very important. The value that a backlink for CNN.COM will give you is much higher than what this blog will offer you. The high the number of quality backlinks you have, the more often search engines bots crawl your site and rate your post.
Quantity is good but the quality of your backlinks is better. You can get quality backlinks by commenting on brands website, doing guest posting and other activities that will get your page URL on those highly ranked websites.
