'I'd love a pizza and a nice cold beer': Major Tim Peake looks forward to home comforts after landing back on Earth (shame he's got to FAST for 24 hours while his body readjusts to gravity)
Major Tim Peake has landed back on Earth safely (pictured, top right) after six months on board the International Space Station (ISS).
He endured the most terrifying and dangerous part of the journey this morning, in which his capsule re-entered the atmosphere, which heated the outer shell to 1,600C before the parachutes deployed (bottom right) and delivered the crew to the ground safely. The first thing he did was call his family, before being welcomed by photographers and local people brandishing gifts (left). He will now go for medical checks to see what impact space has had on his body.
