Tears on This Morning as heartbroken presenters pay tribute to their beloved agony aunt Denise Robertson after she dies aged 83 from pancreatic cancer

This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford (left) was seen wiping away tears as she paid tribute to Denise (inset), who passed away after a 'short but determined' battle with pancreatic cancer.

On an emotional special edition of the show today, presenters past and present paid tribute to a woman who was loved around Britain for her plain speaking advice.

Host Eamonn Holmes said: 'I tell you, the make-up department of this show is going to be very, very busy today.' Ruth added: 'She was the matriarch of This Morning and the one we all turned to.' Phillip Schofield (right), speaking via Facetime, told viewers: 'It is heartbreaking, we were expecting it when she was diagnosed, everyone wanted her back on the sofa but we knew deep down she wasn't going to make it back.'
