Fiona Bruce admits she wept over art lover who died of cancer before discovering whether the painting he bought for £500 was a lost Delaroche masterpiece

Widow Becky Wilson, who runs a B&B in Aberdeenshire, contacted BBC1 show Fake or Fortune? and asked the team to finish off her husband's work and find out whether the painting he had bought for £500 was a worthless work or a masterpiece by French artist Paul Delaroche (right).


Host Fiona Bruce (pictured left with Mrs Wilson), a seasoned BBC anchor who has made a career covering harrowing news stories, said the request was so moving she was left in tears.
