Heartbroken mother, 55, of boy who hanged himself over false rape allegations kills herself the same way a year later because she 'couldn't see a future without him'

Karin Cheshire (second left), 55, of Southampton, Hampshire, killed herself a year after her son Jay (far left), 17, committed suicide after being wrongly accused of rape, an inquest heard. 


Neighbours found her hanged in her home (right) and family said Ms Cheshire was 'vacant' and 'zombie-like' around the anniversary of Jay's death and that she 'never got over' losing him. Relatives are also calling for an investigation into the initial rape claims, which were withdrawn after Jay was voluntarily interviewed by officers.
