Pippa's engaged! How hedge fund beau went down on one knee and pulled out a ring. Now for the poshest wedding since Kate's - and groom's naughty brother

James Matthews, 40, popped the question to Pippa Middleton, 32, during a trip to the Lake District last weekend and, of course, she said 'yes'. 


After less than a year of dating in which they've wined and dined in west London (right) and enjoyed idyllic Caribbean holidays (inset) the proposal left her 'completely and totally surprised' - but her father Michael Middleton knew all about it as the hedge fund manager had gone to him to ask for his consent. The wedding will probably be held next year. Earlier this evening, the glamorous party planner, fuelled rumours that she was tying the knot as she hid her left hand from view at a charity party (left).
