Searching for togetherness in the midst of tragedy: Powerful photos showing women hugging and praying with police bring hope in the aftermath of Dallas massacre

The powerful images show a woman hugging a police officer at a Black Lives Matter event in Oklahoma City (left) and a woman and an officer praying together in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana (right). 


The photos are symbolic of the calls for unity and healing after an awful week for race relations in the US following the fatal police shootings of two black men and the deadly attack on Dallas police.
