Visits to shopping centres, high streets and retail parks fall 2.8% over last four weeks, in weakest result for two years
According to data from research firm Springboard, the monthly footfall fell on high streets by 3.7 per cent, dragging the overall total down.
Separately, the number of new properties coming to the market have bounced back following a fall due to pre-referendum uncertainty, data shows. The figure had dropped 8 per cent in early June but recovered to rise 6 per cent in the two weeks since the UK voted to leave the EU, online estate agent Rightmove says.
