Team GB gymnast Louis Smith (left) has sparked a furious reaction on social media (inset) after breaking down in tears (right) at finishing second in the men's pommel horse and 'not congratulating' team mate Max Whitlock.
The 27-year-old won silver as Whitlock secured his second gold of the day, but was visibly upset on the podium as he collected his medal. He was accused of not being 'gracious in defeat' although some defended him for his show of emotion.
