Daisy's Lowe's secret heartache: Model is competing on Strictly in honour of her grandfather who died on the first day of rehearsals

Daisy Lowe has revealed that she will be appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in honour of her late grandfather.


The 27-year-old model - who found out she was partnered with Alja Skorjanec on Saturday night's show - lost her grandad from a heart attack last week, on the same day she began rehearsals for the BBC show. Speaking to The Mirror, she revealed: 'I'm going to be ­dancing for him. I'd quite like to dance to some of his favourite songs, too.'
