'Playing Russian roulette with people's lives': Families of women killed by drivers on their phones back campaign to end the mobile madness as it emerges HALF of motorists use them at the wheel
Calling, texting or checking social media on handheld phones has reached 'epidemic proportions', according to a major RAC study.
The Daily Mail has launched a campaign for much tougher deterrents to end the madness and save hundreds of lives. It is being backed by the family of Liberty Baker (top left), who was only 14 when she was killed by a driver reading a text message. Jemma O'Sullivan (main), 22, died after the car she was travelling in was struck by a texting OAP.
