Graduate who thought her illness was fresher's flu from too much partying actually has cancer

Kate Stancel-Lewis (left), from Plymouth, was diagnosed with lymphoblastic lymphoma and had to have chemotherapy (inset) every day for six months.

But the Fine Art graduate thought her illness was due to her party lifestyle - and doctors even prescribed her antibiotics for a chest infection. It wasn't until the 26-year-old was out of breath at a meal with her friends that she decided to visit A&E. It was there that she received the diagnosis as she underwent six months of treatment straight after - which caused her hair to fall out (right).
