Lloris the saviour as Spurs hold on: Keeper's heroics make it painless for Poch
BAYER LEVERKUSEN 0-0 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR -: Aspirin was invented by the pharmaceutical giants which founded Bayer Leverkusen but it was an inspired display by Hugo Lloris which kept the pain at bay for Tottenham.
Having spent the first 45 minutes virtually redundant Lloris was required to produce a sequence of fabulous saves to keep his clean sheet intact during a second-half barrage. He repelled everything, included one breath-taking save to deny Javier Hernandez from close-range with the Spurs goalkeeper somehow springing across his goal, grabbing the ball and clinging on to ensure it did not cross the line as his momentum sent him rolling across the turf.
