Touching moment baby born just days after the legal abortion limit shares a cuddle with her dad - who cheated death himself just weeks earlier

Macey Micklethwaite, from Worcester, was barely the size of her father Rhys's hand (left) when she was born weighing just 1.2lb at 25 weeks. 


She battled to survive and spent the first five months of her life in hospital. It was the second bit of good fortune for the family after Mr Micklethwaite had only narrowly avoided death in a motorbike accident weeks earlier. Macey's mother Karen Dawkins (right) was forced to deliver her early after she was diagnosed with a severe case of pre-eclampsia, where the placenta stops working properly. She was unable to see her for the first two days of Macey's life as doctors fought to stabilise both of them. 'She battled through so much. I feel so lucky to have her,' she said.
