NBA champion John Salley gets his prostate examined ON TELEVISION as he urges men to get tested
Caught early, prostate cancer is one of the most treatable cancers. However, figures show that the number of deaths is proportionally similar to women dying of breast cancer - a harder to treat disease.
Experts warn a driving factor is the fact that few men proactively organize prostate exams to monitor their symptoms. And so, in a bid to demystify the experience, basketball legend John Salley, a fierce advocate for health issues, has appeared on TV getting his prostate examined - and DailyMail.com can exclusively share video of his experience. The four-time NBA champion, now retired at the age of 52, visited the set of the syndicated daytime series The Doctors for his exam (left). The audience (right) squealed as he made jokes about it.
