Lizzo had a triumphant first every Grammy Awards, taking home three gongs during an emotional night.
The singer won the first gong presented during Sunday's ceremony at Los Angeles' Staples Center, after leading the nominations with eight nods.
The Truth Hurts star was teary on stage as she paid tribute to late basketball star Kobe Bryant, and her peers in the audience, admitting: 'Today all of my little problems I thought were the biggest in the world were gone'.
The star was visibly shocked as she earned the Best Pop Solo Performance Win for Truth Hurts in the first category of the night, beating big names Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande as well as the night's biggest winner Billie Eilish.
She uplifted the crowd with a message of positivity as she said: 'Let's continue to reach out, hold each other down and lift each other up.'
'This whole week, I've been lost in my problems, stressed out, and then in an instant, all of that can go away and your priorities really shift.'
