Star music acts, PSquare, Wizkid and Flavour, are among the artistes lined up by national telecommunications operator, Globacom, for this year’s edition of its nationwide musical concert, the Glo Slide & Bounce. Other musicians who will perform in the concert which will kick off in Ibadan, on August 29, are D'banj, Wande Coal, Korede Bello, MI, Burna Boy, Di’Ja and Bez. Edem and Kakee from Ghana and Sessime from Benin Republic are also part of the performing team. Popular disc jockeys, DJ Xgee and DJ Jimmy Jatt, will mount the juxe box, Globacom said in a statement, adding that the trio of Gbenga Adeyinka, Okey Bakassi and Jimmie De Hype will anchor the shows. Globacom said the Slide & Bounce concert would be held in 11 locations across the country. The locations are Ikeja, Ikorodu, Egbeda and Victoria Island in Lagos; Ibadan; Port Harcourt; Abeokuta; Ijebu Ode; Benin and Abuja. The company explained that the show "is packaged for the delight of our teeming subscribers in all the selected locations and adjoining cities and towns in order to give our loyal customers the best entertainment experience they can imagine. "This is why we have selected the best acts in the entertainment industry for the show." Globacom promised a worthwhile experience for subscribers, and urged those who would like to attend the show in any of the listed locations to recharge their lines with N2,000 and above within one month and send, "YES" and their preferred event location to a short code, 30188. For example, a subscriber who would like to attend the show in Ibadan should send "YES IBADAN" to 30188. The company said that Glo ambassadors would also attend the show and the first 100 fun seekers to arrive at the various venues would have the opportunity of a photo session with the ambassadors including Mama G, Funke Akindele, Odulade Adekola, Mr. Ibu, Chiwetalu Agu, Ini Edo. They will also enjoy branded gift items from Globacom.
