Telecommunication companies, to connect global startup communities

Telecommunication companies Orange, Singtel, Telefonica and Deutsche Telekom, have partnered to connect the startup communities across Africa, Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, and to assist small businesses launch outside their domain.
The partnership, which will be overseen by the innovation arms of the telecoms companies – Telefonica’s Open Future, Singtel Innov8, Deutsche Telekom’s hub:raum and Orange Fab, aims to offer selected startups the opportunity to tap into the vast resources and networks of the companies in various markets across the world.
The selected startups, mostly those supported by the innovation arms of the four telecoms companies, will receive support such market insights, use of co-working spaces, introduction to partners, exclusive access to the companies’ operating businesses and the chance of gaining access to the combined operators’ mobile customer base of over one billion customers across four continents.

Orange, Singtel, Telefonica and Deutsche Telekom are multinational telecommunication companies headquartered in France, Singapore, Spain and Germany respectively.
