Jovago, a leading hotel booking website which prides itself as Africa’s “numero uno” in the business, has announced it has been incorporated into Google Hotel Ads, making it the first African Online Travel Agency (OTA) to do so.
This collaboration with Google will help drive traffic to and increase bookings on Jovago’s platform through the display of prominent ads directly on Google’s search engine result page.
The ads will display available rates, features and amenities such as free Wi-Fi and breakfast or unique offerings like loyalty program incentives and so on.
Customers across Africa would have quick access to the best deals on Jovago at any time and at their convenience, making it easy for them to make hotel reservations.
Google Maps is also a part of the offering, giving users the ability to see the exact location of a hotel they intend booking while also doing a price comparison at the same time.
“Jovago is focused on helping travelers find the best hotels regardless of location and making the process as convenient as possible,” CEO of Jovago, Paul Midy told Africa Internet Group.
He further said, “With Jovago on the Google Travel Ads, customers can readily access our growing inventory of hotels on the go with little to no hassles as the customer service team caters to their needs.”
Google Hotel Ads is live in 100 countries and appears across Google – Search, Maps, Hotel Finder and Google+, wherever users are shopping for hotels.
Jovago, founded in 2013 with regional offices in Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Kenya, boast a vast inventory of 25,000 hotels in Africa and over 200,000 hotels around the world accessible to customers both online and offline through its apps which is at the moment available to only Android users.
