As Scott Disick goes on outings from the rehab, he remains devoted to his sobriety for the sake of his family, a source tells PEOPLE.
Disick, 32, was spotted out around Los Angeles on Wednesday but is still checked into luxury drug and alcohol rehabilitation center Cliffside Malibu. PEOPLE has learned that he visited his three children at ex-girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian's Calabasas home as well.
"Scott is doing well and seems very happy," a source says. "He is committed to staying sober. He is happy to get his life back in order and is focused on being the best dad for the kids."
Kardashian, 36, share son Mason, 5, and daughter Penelope, 3 – who have both visited their father in rehab – and baby boy Reign, 10 months.
The couple split in July after about being together for about 10 years off and on when he was photographed partying hard in Monte Carlo, France, and cozying up to another woman. He checked into Cliffside last month.
Now, "Kourtney is very pleased that Scott is doing so well. She is happy that he is finally focused on his sobriety," another source tells PEOPLE. "She likes that he is really making an effort when it comes to the kids. She is starting to trust him more, but there are no talks of getting back together yet.
