To further boost ties between Nigeria and France, Franco-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged stakeholders to explore new business areas through its new product listing module.

According to the chamber, there is need to support government’s diversification agenda by exploring new areas of business with trade partners.
Consul-General of French Embassy in Nigeria, Laurent Polonge Aux, at a press briefing in Lagos, recently said the recent visit of entrepreneurs from France to Nigeria will enhance the relationship with Nigerian partners and the business community, adding that President Muhammadu’s Buhari’s regular visit to the French community is also encouraging, as it continues to aid cordial relationship between the two countries.
Similarly, General Manager Franco-Nigerian Chambers of Commerce, Esther Gambe, said as part of efforts to effectively serve the need of its members and foster trade and investment relations between France and Nigeria, the chamber has repositioned itself, in collaboration with the French Consulate and the Federal Government of Nigeria as well as the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce and Industry, to reach out to relevant stakeholders.
Gambe said Franco-Nigeria is taking a new shape in its operation and expanding its value to its members as it is set to increase the visibility of members organizations through the introduction of a “new product listing module” on the website, social media and via digital email solution.
She stressed that the organization is also working hard on aligning with key government agencies in a bid to ensure that members of the organization who are interested in doing business with the French community do so with ease, while also improving communication to members on happenings in the economy and the Chamber.
“We have a robust programme to serve our members this year, we are making sure that networking events are organized at regular intervals; we will also organize business luncheon that focus on key issues that affect members and we will also create a feedback system”, She stressed.
“Franco-Nigerian Chambers of Commerce and Industry would however contribute its own quota to the community as it launches its maiden edition of its project tagged ‘Champion at De Langue’ which is meant to equip the youths with French language skills to enhance cultural relationship between French and Nigeria, she added.
