'The Storm Of A Generation': Jonas Leaves 18 Dead; 12,000 Flights Axed; And Brings THREE FEET Of Snow, As 85million Are Told 'Stay Inside!'

Ten states have declared emergencies, hundreds of thousands of people are without power and tens of thousands are at risk of flooding as a 'once in a generation' storm battered the East Coast yesterday.

Three feet of snow is expectedtoday where it has now been snowing continuously for 24 hours, while ten inches fell in New York this morning, prompting authorities to ban all road travel and close exterior subway lines. 

In Kentucky drivers spent 12 hours trapped on Interstate 75 overnight after heavy snow shut the road, while motorists are still stranded on the Pennsylvania Turnpike after traffic ground to a halt.
