To usher in the New Year, WeChat, a leading social communication platform has launched WeChat Out, a new WeChat feature that helps one make calls to mobile and landline phone numbers around the world.
WeChat Out provides excellent call quality, and goes one step further by offering super-low calling rates. With WeChat Out, one can call at any time and anywhere.
In the spirit of the New Year, US$0.99 in calling fees will be given to users, providing up to 100 minutes of free calls for most numbers around the globe. Simply update your version of WeChat and enjoy calling now!
Here’s a few tip for using WeChat Out.
1. Tap the “+” icon on the top right of the main screen and select WeChat Out.
2. Select the mobile contact you’d like to call or dial the number in the dial pad to make a call.
3. Top-up your balance or check top-up and calling history in the Account page.
4. View the WeChat Out FAQ in “Me” > “Settings” > “Help & Feedback” > and send your feedback to WeChat at the bottom of the Account page.
Currently, the feature is available in the United States, Hong Kong and India. More countries and regions will be covered in the near future.
