'I Didn't Want Mummy To Be Lonely This Valentine's Day': Four-Year-Old Boy Reduces Waitress To Tears After Taking Out His Newly-Divorced Mother And Producing A Jar Of Pennies To Pay Meal

Max Schofield, aged four, reduced restaurant staff to tears when he took his mum, Emma, to a Pizza Express restaurant in Torquay, Devon, so she wasn't lonely on February 14.

When they finished the meal, he produced a jar full of pennies to pay the bill - but employees at the eatery were so touched by the gesture that they gave them the meal for free. After Emma posted the story on Facebook, it received 2,900 likes and 180 comments.

People called him 'wonderful,' 'thoughtful' and 'caring' and said he was a credit to his mother.
