The short experiment, filmed at an unknown location, involves simply white vinegar, water and two containers (pictured top left) and takes 48 hours for the chemicals to work their magic.
At first the egg is put into an empty jar (top right) which is then filled with the vinegar and after two days it is placed in the water, where the shell is slowly rubbed away by hand (bottom left).
As explained in the clip, posted by Bobby Tv on YouTube, the technique works due to an acid in the vinegar which slowly dissolves the egg's shell, leaving a bouncy structure after (bottom right).
