'I wanted to do something special': Expectant mother has maternity photo shoot that includes late husband - who died two months before her due date

A picture may be worth 1,000 words, but one mother hopes to give her children a maternity photo shoot that is priceless. 

That's because Nicole Bennett has incorporated her late husband Deonta in the pictures, after unexpectedly losing him just two months before her due date.

It had been Deonta's idea to do a maternity shoot with Nicole and their 4-year-old son Landen before her March 25 due date. 

And now Nicole is hoping the pictures will remind her children of the wonderful man they lost. 

'I wanted to do something special because he's been there for my son since day one,' she told ABC News. 

'It's memories for my son of his father and for my daughter who will never meet her father, it's memories for her as well.' 

Nicole, of Jackson, Mississippi, told photographer Sidney Conley of the idea and they shot the photographs late February. 

Conley then digitally added images of Deonta to the photos. He said the effect brought him to tears. 

'Just how I edited [the photos] with him looking down on them, it's showing that he's making sure they're okay.' 

Nicole said the photos were 'perfect', reminding her of the man who made everyone laugh at their engagement shoot. 

The photos have since been shared nearly 100,000 times on Conley's Facebook page. He is also on Instagram.
