Johnny Depp's high-profile lawyer says domestic abuse claims are just to secure Amber Heard cash

Johnny Depp's lawyer, Laura Wasser (right), claimed Amber Heard (left), 30, is 'attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse'. 


In a written response to the court, Wasser also said Heard's request for a temporary restraining order and financial support 'appears to be in response to the negative media attention she received earlier this week'. Depp's mother died three days before Heard filed for divorce on Monday. Heard is seeking spousal support, but Depp's response to her declaration of petition for a restraining order filed on Wednesday asked the judge to deny the request. 'Amber is a successful model and actress who earns her own income and is capable of supporting herself,' Wasser said (inset, Depp and Heard together).
