In a bit of a bind? Former CIA agent explains how to get out of rope hand restraints

Jason Hanson, who worked for the CIA for six years before starting his own security business, showed DailyMail.com two methods of escaping rope hand restraints, should you find yourself tied up.

The two tactics used include creating space to slip your hands out of a rope restraint or preparing yourself to cut yourself free. The first technique has the victim keep their elbows at their sides while being restrained to allow space to be created in the rope. The second technique uses parachute cord, which can be used as a shoe lace, to cut out of a hand restraint.
