Kate (inset), the Countess of Wessex (right) and Princess Mary (centre) reacted in a very unladylike fashion with roars of excitement, whoops and cheers as they watched the action on the historic racecourse.
The royal trio, a vision of colour in midi-length dresses and natty hats, were spotted talking and laughing together as they joined thousands of spectators who basked in sunshine after the downpours of yesterday. Kate opted for high glamour for the day with a £3,450 Dolce and Gabbana gown (left) complete with a a name badge that helpfully read, 'HRH The Duchess of Cambridge'.
