Nigerian companies must know that the route to running a good business is ensuring consumers’ satisfaction in all their engagements with the people, Director General of the Consumer Protection Council, (CPC), Mrs. Dupe Toki, has stressed.
Speaking yesterday in Lagos at a joint press conference by the CPC and Multi-choice on compliance by the pay TV operator on issues of customers’ satisfaction as ordered by the Council, Atoki, however, noted that many organisations in the country were not placing premium on customers’ satisfaction possibly due to absence of stiff competition for market share.
She stated that businesses must understand that when they get consumers satisfied about their services, profit is guaranteed besides continued patronage.
The CPC had last year shut the head office of Multi-Choice after it alleged customers’ satisfaction infraction on the part of the firm.
Commending the company for complying with its directive on how to better serve Nigeria better, Atoki called on other companies to emulate the Pay TV provider.
On his part, the Managing Director of Multi-Choice, John Ugbe, said over the years, his company has always put the customers first, noting that by working with the CPC, the firm was making a bigger commitment to customers
