Jennifer Hudson is already Hollywood and pop royalty - but even she must have quaked a little when faced with the prospect of performing Prince's Purple Rain at the BET Awards Sunday.
Filling the heels of the pop legend, who died of a drug overdose on April 21 age 57, was always going to be a big task, but with his old friend Stevie Wonder on piano accompaniment, the pressure must have been immense. But Hudson pulled it off with aplomb, tearing up as she gave a stunning, heartfelt rendition of Prince's most famous ballad.
