'They would come to my door and grumble like they did with other family members': Meet the woman who traded a corporate life to live among elephants in a hut in the African wilderness for 13 years

Imagine trading in your life as a high-flying corporate executive (bottom right) to start a new one, unpaid, and living with elephants in Zimbabwe (left and top right).

That's exactly what author and photographer from Queensland, Sharon Pincott, did in 2001. Remaining in the Hwange bush for 13 years, Ms Pincott dedicated her life to fighting for elephants, forming an immense, life-changing bond with them, that has been described as one of the most remarkable relationships with wild elephants ever documented.
