'They told me I was going to be the next Kendall Jenner': Wannabe models tricked into paying £3,000 for portfolios by rogue agencies who promise to make them stars - but leave them with just a CD of pictures
Companies are advertising for models and reeling in clients with free make-up and photo shoots, telling them that their pictures will win them commercial contracts, but they do not find them work.
Olivia Frith Powell (pictured) was told by a London agency that she would be the next Kendall Jenner by a company that then tried to charge her £700, threatening to delete the pictures they had spent all day taking instantly unless they agreed. Another boy, 15, tried to commit suicide after handing over £3,000 to an agency that then vanished.
