'Having a nose job wrecked my life': Mother who endured THREE botched surgeries and lost her job, friends and husband gets £50,000 payout
Vanessa Brooks, 40, from Norwich, underwent rhinoplasty six years ago as she believed a boost to her self-esteem could save her marriage (left, before the procedure).
To her horror, she was left with a 'disgusting beak' after the operation (centre), and became too ashamed to leave her house, and her marriage soon ended. She hoped two further operations would fix her face, but she was left in a worse mess than before with bulging nostrils, her nose caved in and her breathing restricted. Finally, in March 2015 she was awarded £50,000 in compensation from the surgeon who performed the operations. She has now had a final procedure (right inset) and is happy with the result (right). She said: 'I finally have my life back and am slowly regaining my confidence. If I could go back in time, I would never have had a nose job - I should have just been happy with the way I looked.'
