A great night for the Kennys! Jason powers to gold in men's cycling - 90 minutes after fiancee Laura Trott smashes world record
Jason Kenny (left) has scooped gold in men's cycling on day six of the Rio Olympic Games - just 90 minutes after his cyclist fiancee Laura Trott (right, warming up) smashed a world record in her heat.
The Bolton-born athlete, along with Philip Hindes and Callum Skinner (all pictured inset), pipped New Zealand to the post in the nail-biting team sprint track cycling final. Meanwhile double London 2012 gold medal winner Trott, 24, set a new world record during the women's team pursuit qualifying at the Rio Olympic Velodrome.
