'Botswana, one of Africa's most stable countries': BBC attacked for 'disrespectful and boring' Olympics coverage with viewers switching to COMMENTARY-FREE channel

The BBC's Olympic opening ceremony commentators have been slammed for their 'next level bonkers' coverage of the parade of nations.

Twitter users accused the BBC of trawling through Wikipedia for inane facts about some of the less-known nations as they walked out at the ceremony early this morning. The BBC were also accused of 'patronising' African nations by labeling some of them as 'stable' and 'pointing out the negative facts' about others. Some viewers were so frustrated by Hazel Irvine and Andrew Cotter's 'dire' description of the ceremony that they switched over to a commentary-free channel.
