Irish father is shot dead in front of his wife and children in Majorca in 'case of mistaken identity because he looked like a Dublin gangster'

The Irishman was killed on Monday night in the resort of Costa de la Calma in Majorca after being shot in the back four times and now Spanish police are hunting for the killer, who fled the scene. 


Armed police - some carrying machine guns and wearing bullet-proof vests - patrolled the street where the murder occurred outside an empty supermarket which was sealed off as forensic experts moved in following a failed attempt to revive the victim at the scene.
