Kanye West just bizarrely compared his wife Kim Kardashian to the overthrown Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, who was famously beheaded age 37 in 1793 for high treason.
'My wife is the face of the change [in] fashion, where designers who literally wouldn't let her sit in shows are now making entire collections based off of her shape,' the 39-year-old designer/rapper told Harper's BAZAAR, without naming specifics.
'It's funny, for Kim to be photographed so much, [she] represents our modern day Marie Antoinette. She gets hair and makeup every day, not just for a photo shoot. Why? Because every day is a photo shoot.'
The college drop-out has clearly not read up on the wig-loving Austrian-born, Versailles-raised monarch, who was only 18 when she was crowned.
Unlike the 35-year-old reality star, Marie possessed no manipulative media savvy to combat the political cartoons accusing her of being 'a profligate, promiscuous Madame Déficit, whose lavish spending' sparked her country's financial crisis.
For instance, Antoinette never actually uttered the phrase 'Let them eat cake' during a peasant bread shortage, but the bad PR fueled the French Revolution.
The married couple of two years - nicknamed 'Kimye' - cover the mag's September issue, which hits newsstands September 9.
Returning the favour, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians stunner said her third husband was her 'best stylist.'
'I swear he sees everything a few steps ahead of anyone else,' Kim - who boasts 155.8M followers - gushed.
'Kanye is a big part of my fashion story and my fashion transformation. He's my best stylist. Every look I love is definitely something that he's had a hand in helping to style or put together.'
The Selfish author continued: 'My friends and my sisters will say, "I've never met anyone like you two who will just sit in a closet for hours and try on clothes and cut things up and redesign them." We just love it, and we spend a lot of time on it. We do put a lot of effort into the looks and trying to stay ahead of the game.'
The West's exalted 'ICON' status was the decision of CR Fashion Book's Carine Roitfeld, who admitted Kardashian isn't the 'easiest person to dress.'
'No one wanted to help me dress her, except Riccardo [Tisci] of course,' the French 61-year-old recalled.
'She has a different body than a lot of American models, and honestly it's not easy to dress Kim from the runway clothes...It's true, at first you think she's not going to be the easiest person to dress, but then she fits everything. Because when you're a great model, you can fit anything you want.'
Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld photographed Kimye's cover, and he called the Calabasas socialite 'interesting' and a 'personality.'
'She is a number. She is a personality. She has nothing to do with a tall model but people are more interested in her than in models,' the German 82-year-old said vaguely.
'It's everything people don't expect in fashion. But she knows how to manage it. It's a very special silhouette. Her skin is beautiful. In a way she is very seductive.'
According to Page Six, the 21-time Grammy winner will next perform at the mag's annual ICONS party happening September 9 at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.
The hot-tempered hip-hop star then kicks off his 39-concert Saint Pablo Tour August 25 at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
