Real Madrid win all-Spanish European Super Cup thanks stunning winner from Carvajal in last minute of extra-time
REAL MADRID 3-2 SEVILLA (aet) - You can always rely on Sergio Ramos. Real Madrid's captain gave away a penalty but then headed in a last-minute normal-time equaliser that helped his team win Tuesday night's European Super Cup in Trondheim.
Full-back Dani Carvajal got the extra-time winner with a mazy run down the right and a shot past Sevilla keeper Sergio Rico to give Zinedine Zidane his second trophy in three months. It looked as if Sevilla had done to Real Madrid what they had done to Liverpool to win the Europa League when they came from behind but they were pegged back by Ramos' late header and beaten by Carvajal's fine winner.
