Red tape madness! Farming family is set to be 'cruelly' deported back to New Zealand because of a 'simple mistake' with their immigration application

Louise and John Talbot have been ordered to leave the UK after they moved to Devon from New Zealand six years ago so they could help their sons Charles and Edward set up a cattle farm.

The farming family (left) has been told to leave after making a 'simple mistake' with their immigration application. Their lives have been shattered by a 'technicality' that led to them missing the deadline for their application. A top immigration judge has said there 'really is no reason' why they cannot stay, but Home Office officials have refused to listen. Louise Talbot, 52, (right) said: 'It has been an utter nightmare - so cruel. It was one simple mistake. It was just a slip, an unintentional error.'
