Dream Team VI utility player Shehu Abdullahi has said he is fit for Nigeria’s last group match against Colombia at the Rio 2016 Olympics football event.
Nigeria tackle Colombia from 11pm tonight inside the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo.
The Uniao de Madeira of Portugal player, who injured his ankle in the 1-0 win over Sweden, said he is fully fit and has been certified so by the team doctor.
“The injury is not as serious as it looked on TV. The ankle is good now, I am fit and okay for our next match,” he said.
“The team doctor also examined me and told me I am okay. I am good for the next game.”
He missed the team’s training on Monday but was available on Tuesday.
However, he is likely to be rested for Wednesday’s match as coach Samson Siasia plans to rest several key players against the South Americans.
