The hottest gig around! Revellers bask in sunshine at V Festival with the rest of the country to follow suit this week as stormy weather subsides and heatwave returns

Revellers at V Festival (pictured and inset) in Essex have been soaking up the sun today as warm weather is set to return to Britain this week with parts of the country enjoying highs of around 30C. 


Parts of the south east and London will enjoy the warmest weather with most of the country to stay dry. After the prolonged sunny spell, the Met Office has warned of thunderstorms hitting the south before the week is out.
