'It's NOT contagious': Psoriasis sufferer asked to leave a swimming pool because of her red flaky skin shares photos of her condition to raise awareness

Lianne Hunter, 29, from Manchester, was diagnosed with psoriasis at age five after a bout of chickenpox.

The condition causes dry, flaky patches of skin (top centre) to form all over her body, leaving her in agony. She has endured cruel taunts all her life - and once a lifeguard asked her to leave a pool over fears she was contagious. Now, she has decided to share candid photographs of herself (bottom centre and right) to raise awareness to the condition and help other sufferers feel less alone. She said: 'I am a big believer of showing it off and helping people to understand what it is.'
