Forgotten story of Polish nuns gang-raped and made pregnant by advancing Soviet troops and cared for by a French female doctor revealed for the first time in 70 years

Dr Madeleine Pauliac, pictured, was tasked with repatriating French people following the end of the Second World War when she discovered that Russian troops had been raping nuns in Warsaw.


The shocking story, where Dr Pauliac found the nuns in the later stages of pregnancy, has been made into a feature film, right, which highlights the disturbing and forgotten events of 70 years ago.
