The Queen thanked the Colombian president for the gift of his nation's 'world famous' coffee at a glittering state banquet at Buckingham Palace tonight.
The monarch thanked Juan Manuel Santos de Calderon (pictured together) for the present before joking it 'should ensure that everyone is wide awake' at a business meeting later this week. Mr Santos and his wife, Maria Clemencia Rodriguez de Santos, are guests of honour at the white-tie dinner (bottom right). The 170 guests dined on pheasant and Dover sole as a string orchestra plays an eclectic mix of music including Coldplay's Viva La Vida and a song from War Horse.
